Do digital hearing aids have volume controls?

August 1, 2018 • Ask the Audiologists, Newsletter

While digital hearing aids are “smart” enough to adjust automatically in various listening situations, you might want to increase or decrease the volume, based on your preference for sound. Many hearing instruments have volume buttons or wheels that you may change, if desired.

The smallest devices require a separate remote control for volume changes. With some of the newest instruments, you can even adjust volume on your hearing aids through an app on your smartphone! If you would like to review your options for volume adjustment, contact us.
