Should I put my hearing aids into my drying unit year-round?

December 1, 2018 • Ask the Audiologists, Newsletter

A desiccant, or drying unit, is a great way to keep moisture from damaging the internal components of your hearing aids. Whether you use a Dri Aid jar or a Dry and Store unit, you should place your hearing aids into the drying unit every night.

Some people think this maintenance is needed only during warm summer months, but condensation can happen in colder months, too. Take good care of your hearing instruments by keeping them dry, regardless of the weather. If you would like to learn more about drying units, please contact us.
