Although several bills have been filed to mandate financial coverage for hearing aids through Medicare, the answer remains “No”.
Medicare covers a diagnostic hearing evaluation performed by an Audiologist, if the examination is medically necessary and ordered by a Physician. Medicare does not cover hearing tests for the sole purpose of hearing aid fitting. Hearing aids are also not covered.
