Hampden Hearing Center is Open!
May 19, 2020News

Dear Valued Patient,

We have missed seeing you during this challenging time. The health and safety of our patients and staff is our highest priority. We want to inform you about our updated policies and procedures, due to the current health crisis.

  1. We are maintaining strict cleaning and sanitation standards, as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Massachusetts and industry guidelines. We are using personal protective equipment, practicing social distancing and MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL PATIENTS, STAFF AND VISITORS.
  2. We have implemented new service procedures:

SERVICE WILL BE PROVIDED BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
NO WALK-IN SERVICE IS AVAILABLE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Routine hearing aid cleaning and repair service for device problems will be available with a pre-scheduled drop-off. At the pre-arranged time, please come to our office and place your hearing aids in the bag on the table. Ring the doorbell and return to your car. We will call you when it is time to come back into the building. Please provide your cell phone number when scheduling the drop-off service.

We will provide telehealth services when possible. Appointments for face-to-face service will be scheduled with additional time gaps to allow for cleaning and sanitizing between patients.

Hearing evaluations, hearing instrument fitting and follow-up care, ear impressions and consultations will be provided with extra safety precautions.

You will be screened when scheduling and confirming your appointment and on the date of service, through health questions and a temperature check. IF YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL, PLEASE RESCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT.

Please attend the appointment alone if possible or bring no more than one person with you. When you arrive at the appointed time, please ring the doorbell and a staff person will welcome you, conduct the health screening and escort you directly to the testing booth or consultation room. Although we enjoy visiting with you, we must limit social conversation at this time, to reduce your time in the office.

If you need supplies or batteries, please call us and we will mail them to your home, or you may pick them up at a pre-scheduled time outside our office door. Items will be on the table labeled with your name.

We appreciate your cooperation. Please call us with any questions or concerns. Follow us on Facebook for updates and information. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Sincerely,
Susan B. Chunyk, Au.D.
Jennifer L. Garcia, Au.D.
